COVID-19 AND FOOD INSECURITY IN LATIN AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN

The objective of this study was to determine the prevalence of household food insecurity (FI) in Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) countries during 2020. Methods: Secondary analysis was performed using data from waves 1 to 3 of the 2020 COVID-19 High Frequency Phone Surveys. Weighted frequencies and cross-tabulations were computed to calculate the prevalence of FI in 13 LAC countries.
